Quite simply one of the best restaurants in all of Columbus. It has earned its local legend status many times over, and I don't think there's a restaurant in town that I go to as often as this one.

Good food with lots of choices. Service was a tad slow, but is understandable as it was semi busy. Expect to spend 15-25 dollars per person.

Köstlich!!! I had been wanting to come here for a couple of years since I had first heard about when researching Columbus. My wife and I stopped here on our way back to West Virginia from Michigan. There was no wait to dine in. The menu was compact but with perfect offerings. I ordered the Turkey Reuben along with the pretzel bites and beer cheese. My wife had the meatloaf. Food was out of this world. Good portions, great quality all at a fair price. Delicious!!

The food and staff were great. The meal was a good price for the amount you get. Overall I think it was worth the long drive just for it l, and I look forward to the next time I go there again.

You only get one chance to make a first impression. My family has never visited Schmidt's before so we stopped by today for a late lunch. We waited about 30-45 minutes to get our food and we noticed that 4 people sat down near us and placed their order and received their food in about 15 minutes. On top of that, my meal and the meal of my oldest daughter was not good at all. My wife liked what she got and my youngest got chicken tenders (hard to mess those up). I tasted my wife's food and thought it was low quality as well. I highly doubt I'll ever return. I know lots of people rave about Schmidt's but to each their own.

Solid German food. Got the sausage sampler. Overall the sausage was above average, potato salad was exceptional, homemade applesauce was good and the toast was underwhelming. Waiter was superb

I LOVE places like this. Clearly a family , with a great product. Quiet chill vibe inside. I'm from out of town but you could tell this was a local spot for sure. Really enjoyed the meal

We ordered the signature platter, and the waiter was super nice and kind to directly help us separate into two plates without us asking for it! The food was delicious, and I would recommend to eat them all together instead of separately since the flavors just blended together very well. They put some plastic boards to provide social distancing, and the staff sanitized tables well. Would recommend to visitors to the German village to have a meal here!
